    LeBonheur Donations

    December 12, 2018

Yesterday, the Germantown High chapter of the National Science Honor Society went to LeBonheur to drop off donations and presents.  Four years ago, one of our science teachers had to spend a few nights at LeBonheur as her infant son was being cared for and she learned about a need the hospital had for rocking chairs and other items to make life more comfortable for parent and child.  Since that day, the NSHS club has been raising money to meet those needs.  Midway through the next year, every room had rocking chairs and the club is now focusing on toiletries, noise machines to help babies sleep well, and items to make the rooms cheerier and more comfortable during a family's difficult times.

I think Germantown High School is the best because so many people are nice to me and include me and because I can be in a great club like Best Buddies.

I am so grateful Gabrielle attends Germantown High School.  The learning and overall environment aligns perfectly with many of my values.  Germantown High School fosters a warm and inviting environment and yet maintains a very challenging curriculum with optional and honors classes. It, at the same time, provides a secure and nurturing campus that embraces its students.  The staff and guidance counselors are some very special people who have embraced us and been extremely helpful from Gabrielle's first day of enrollment.  The support I have received for Gabrielle is just phenomenal.

Being a part of Germantown High School has afforded Gabrielle the opportunity to blossom into a beautiful young lady.  Germantown High's curriculum has provided her with just the challenge she needs to maintain continued academic growth and a 3.9 GPA.  Because of her GPA she has been inducted into the Beta Club as well as the opportunity to participate in numerous other organizations.  It feel...

I love Germantown High School because the school spirit is like no other. No matter what kind of event, big or small, someone is there to cheer on a fellow Red Devil.  I also love the enormous number of opportunities available here, such as joining clubs and being a part of the rigorous IB Program. GHS is a special place for anyone that attends the school.

    Links of Luv

Links of Luv is all about giving back. We are a brand new, non-profit club that fundraises for another non-profit group called Spreading Sunshine. Spreading Sunshine makes Sunshine Boxes for children with chronic illnesses and special needs to uplift their spirits by sending gifts. Spreading Sunshine also strives to meet the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families impacted by childhood illness or disability.

Links of Luv has exciting, tentative plans this year. We hope to have a bake sale, a stuffed animal drive, and a dodgeball game to raise funds for Links of Luv and Spreading Sunshine.

We are excited to be fundraising alongside Spreading Sunshine. We encourage everyone at Germantown High School to donate, to volunteer to serve meals in local hospitals, and to support Spreading Sunshine online. Both Links of Luv and Spreading Sunshine strive to bring joy. Students can get involved by seeing Mrs. Killebrew in C208 and can also f...
