    The student of the week for March 4-8, 2019 is Andre Love.  The teacher nominating him praised him for his hard work.  Like most students, he's had good times and bad this year, but rather than let the bad times define him, he started working harder and pulled out a dramatic increase on his last test score.  The test he was taking was modeled after the upcoming state tests and was very difficult, but Andre's work paid off and his teacher was very proud of him.

    Congratulations Officer True for being the 1st recipient of the Clark Legacy Award

    On February 6, 2018, Germantown City staff mourned the loss of the former Neighborhood Coordinator Sherrye Harris Clark. Sherrye was a bright light in the City’s Economic and Community Development department and she unexpectedly passed away of cancer last winter. Sherrye worked as a liaison between Germantown’s neighborhood associations and city government, promoting neighborhoods, keeping residents aware of city functions and making connections. Sherrye had strong interpersonal skills, a vast network of acquaintances within the community and an overall sunny disposition. In her honor, the Sherrye Harris Clark Legacy Award was created. The award is given once a year to a City employee who exhibits an unbridled commitment by offering a warm smile, anticipating the needs of coworkers and residents and consistently going above and beyond to serve the needs of the community.
