Over the next few days, we'll be doing a countdown to graduation, and featuring the student whose class rank is the same as the number of days until graduation.
Today's student is ranked #31 out of 492. Here's what she has to say.
My name is Desireé Phillips and I am currently a senior. Throughout my entire high school career, I have learned a lot of very important lessons that I plan on using for the rest of my life. In high school, I grew as a person, leaned more about the world we are living in, and made some friendships that I hold close to my heart. While in high school, I have been very involved in the many clubs that are offered and extracurricular activities. Some of these clubs include Beta Club, Spanish National Honor Society, Kids Caring 4 Kids, and my own club Birthday Wishes. Fortunately for me, I have been captain of the Color Guard team that we have and I enjoy being a part of the band in that way.
All in all, my high school career has been a very enjoyable one but it did come with its ups and downs. But one of the most important lessons that I have taken away from my experience is that having fun and doing what you enjoy is the most important thing in life.
The next chapter in my life is getting ready to be started and I truly believe that Germatown High School prepared me to be the best person that I can become. I am proud to say that I am a Red Devil!
